Core Dump Software LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates SurvHey, including the SurvHey iOS application and the survhey.com website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

By using SurvHey, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create a SurvHey account through the iOS app, we collect:

• Email address
• Password (stored in hashed form; we cannot read your password)
• Account preferences and settings

2.2 Survey Data

When you create surveys, we store:

• Survey content (questions, options, settings, and translations)
• Custom templates you create (Pro plan and above)
• Branding images you upload (Enterprise plan)

2.3 Survey Responses

When respondents complete your surveys, we collect:

• The answers submitted to each survey question
• The date and time each response was submitted

Survey responses are anonymous by default. We do not collect respondent names, email addresses, or IP addresses unless a survey question explicitly asks for such information.

2.4 Technical Information

We automatically collect limited technical information to operate the Service:

• Server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps, and page URLs) for security and troubleshooting purposes
• Cloudflare Turnstile verification tokens for bot detection on survey submissions

2.5 Cookies

We use essential cookies only:

• Session cookie — maintains your login session on the website
• Login cookie — remembers your login for up to 14 days if you choose to stay signed in

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Process and display survey responses to survey creators
• Authenticate your account and manage your subscription
• Detect and prevent abuse, spam, and bot submissions
• Send essential service communications (e.g., account verification emails)

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate SurvHey:

• Apple App Store — subscription billing and in-app purchase processing. Apple's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — bot detection on survey submissions. Turnstile is a privacy-preserving alternative to CAPTCHA that does not track users across sites. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Email service provider — for sending account verification and password reset emails. We only send transactional emails; we do not send marketing emails.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) for all communications
• Hashed password storage (we cannot read your password)
• Secure API authentication with token-based access

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

• Account data is retained as long as your account is active.
• Survey data and responses are retained as long as your account is active or until you delete them.
• Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, then automatically deleted.

If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent for data processing

8. Children's Privacy

SurvHey is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Survey Respondent Privacy

If you are responding to a survey created by a SurvHey user:

• You do not need an account to respond to surveys
• Your responses are stored anonymously by default
• The survey creator can view your responses but not your identity unless the survey explicitly asks for identifying information
• We do not sell or share survey responses with anyone other than the survey creator

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
